The history of the mighty red wine Fass Nr.9 - The Birth of a Brand

In 1961, the city fathers of Villach (Austria) visited the blossoming wine-making town of Girlan in order to select a special wine for their 950th Anniversary. During the harvest, the cellar master, Valtl Spitaler, therefore looked for the best grapes on the oldest vines growing on the best slopes.
