Production area
Sandy, warm and deep soils such as the ones we find in the Unterland are ideal for Lagrein. The Lagrein vine is native to Alto Adige and grows throughout the Val d'Adige, where it uses the high degree of thermal movement to develop fine, intense fragrances. The Pinot Noir and Schiava grapes come from the area of Cornaiano, at an altitude of 450 - 500 m above sea level, in well aired vineyards.
Vinification
After destemming and maceration (12 hours), a part of the grapes are gently pressed. The remaining part comes from a juice extraction from high quality grapes. The wine is fermented in steel tanks.
