The "Lagrein Riserva" vines are grown in Bolzano, at an altitude of 300 m above sea level, in porphyry soils and in the Bassa Atesina, where the soils are sandy and warm: the ideal condition for this vine.
Vinification
After destemming and gentle pressing, the grapes are taken to the steel fermenting vats (100 hl), complete with pumpover system to increase the level of extraction from the grape skins. Maceration on the skins lasts 20-25 days. After fermentation (100% malolactic) the wine is matured for 20 months in French barrique. It is refined in the bottle for 7 months before it can be sold.
