Classification

Alto Adige DOC

Production area

The grapes come from the warm, sunny slopes of Santa Maddalena (Bolzano), at an altitudes ranging from 450 to 500 m above sea level, in well aired vineyards.  The vines grow in clay and lime soils.

Winemaking

The grapes are picked by hand and placed in small containers to  prevent excess pressure on the grapes. Destemming and slow must fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Malolatic fermentation and aging in concrete vats.

Tasting notes & food matching

It is a soft, velvety and quite full-bodied wine with a bouquet of violets and almonds and light violet reflections.  It is an all-round red that is particularly recommended for serving with game, roast meat and cheese.
