"[...] La cooperativa di Cornaiano conta sulla passionie e la competenza di una fitta schiera di viticoltori, ben 200, che lungo i dolci pendii della zona d'Oltradige conducono 220 ettari di vigneto sotto l'attenta regia del gruppo tecnico guidato da Gerhard Kofler. A completare la piattaforma viticola piccoli appezzamenti nella Bassa Atesina, in particolare nella zona di Mazzon. In cantina l'attenzione è volta alla valorizzazione dei vitigni storici della provincia e alla produzione di vini di forte espressione territoriale. Centralitá assoluta per il pinot nero, con diverse etichette dedicate al vitigno borgognone. Sugli scudi anche quest'anno il Trattmann '20, una Riserva che negli ultimi anni ha fondato la sua cifra stilistica sull'eleganza e la tensione, con il frutto scuro che trova complessitá e articolazione intrecciando le note di erbe officinali e di sottobosco. Al palato il tannino è ben levigato e l'acidità dona slancio e lunghezza al sorso. Ottimi sia il Pinot Bianco Flora '21 sia la schiava Gschleier della medesima vendemmia.

So youthful for almost 4 years old, this has an incredibly deep nose of forest berries, savory notes and flint. What an imposing stature and remarkable structure, the generous tannins so fine that you could spend an hour studying just the texture of this masterpiece. Enormously long, plush finish, the new oak already completely absorbed. Only just beginning to open up. The best vintage ever of this wine! Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

This is a new wine from Girlan that represents a prolonged search for the best vineyard site for the production of Pinot Noir. The 1.6-hectare Ganger vineyard (at 360 to 380 meters above sea level) is one of the prized gems of the Mazzon (Mazon in German) subzone. The 2012 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Mazon Vigna Ganger represents one of the region's most concrete new attempts at specific vineyard designation definition. Alto Adige has a long ways to go in this regard. The wine is absolutely beautiful with an impeccable sense of finesse and depth. It offers more and more the longer you contemplate the bouquet. Wild berry is backed by tar, licorice and red rose. The mouthfeel is super silky and long. This is a lovely wine that is just at the beginning of a long life ahead.

The Girlan 2019 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Trattmann delivers redcurrant, cherry skin and soft earthy sensations. This wine is very floral in personality with dried rose and violets. It all checks out, especially if you are curious to taste a high-elevation Italian expression of this fragrant Burgundian grape. This wine offers elegance through and through. It ages in oak (barrique and botte) for 12 months. Some 28,000 bottles were made.

The Girlan 2019 Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Riserva Flora shows beautiful aromas that reflect the minerality of calcareous soils and the light spice of aging in large oak casks (with partial malolactic fermentation because Pinot Bianco does not keep its acidity as well as, say, Chardonnay). This wine offers volume and a very pretty, almost creamy texture. The finish is supple and long.

The Girlan 2020 Alto Adige Sauvignon Flora is a blend of fruit from three separate vineyards. The wine is partially aged in stainless steel and in part on the lees in large oak casks. One of these sites is prized for freshness and the other two for aromas and fruitiness. This perfumed wine is linear and tight with bright acidity and energy.

0 Il concetto di terroir è ben rappresentato dalla filosofia produttiva della cantina, una cooperativa nata nel 1923 e che oggi conta circa 200 soci. Qui, infatti, dopo aver individuato le varietà maggiormente espressive, si è data loro la giusta collocazione sui suoli dell’Oltradige e della Bassa Atesina. Dare risalto ai cru del territorio è, infatti, l’obiettivo che l’azienda intende perseguire anche nei prossimi anni, introducendo nuove declinazioni del pinot nero, dello chardonnay e della vernatsch per identificarsi sempre più attorno a queste tre cultivar. Vendemmie manuali, pressature a grappolo intero, vinificazioni per gravità e affinamento su fecce fini sono alcuni strumenti a disposizione dei tecnici per valorizzare ciò che di buono offrono le uve.

"Die Kellereigenossenschaft wurde 1923 in einem historischen Bauernhof aus dem 16. Jahrhundert gegründet.
