95 pts. • VIGNA GANGER MAZON Pinot Noir Riserva 2017
Great sour cherries, red roses, savory and truffle aromas. Powerful and concentrated, but these qualities are combined with terrific balance, the fine tannins driving the wine forward like a passenger liner plowing through the waves. Then the deep, dark and complex finish seals the deal. Drink or hold. |
95 pts. • VIGNA GANGER MAZON Pinot Noir Riserva 2015
Lots of pure fruit with tangerine and ripe-strawberry aromas, as well as hints of ash and minerals. Full-bodied with layers of ripe fruit and round, creamy tannins. Hints of cedar and chocolate underneath it all. Fresh and opulent, yet formed and framed. Drink or hold. |
95 pts. • VIGNA GANGER MAZON Pinot Noir Riserva 2014
Very attractive pinot with strawberry, cherry and fresh rose-leaf aromas that follow through to a medium body with firm, silky tannins and a fresh finish. Linear and solid with beautiful precision and finesse to the structure. Drink or hold. |
