THE GRAPE VARIETY
Pinot Bianco has always had a double bond with Cantina Girlan. With Pinot Bianco Plattenriegl, Cantina Girlan has been aiming, since 1989, for uncompromising quality. This means that for almost 30 years, this wine has enjoyed the status of a product of the utmost quality.

THE ORIGIN
Starting from a single vineyard, this wine became a best-seller in Italy and abroad, and an essential brand at Cantina Girlan. The Platt & Riegl vines bury their roots in a porphyry “slab” which involves the entire Oltradige (in South-Tyrolean dialect known as the “Platt”) and – based on a deep conviction similar to the Selezioni-wine range “Flora” – it includes carefully selected “vineyards” (in local dialect “Riegl”).

THE VINIFICATION
A strict selection of the individual plots in Cornaiano and the surrounding areas, a reduction in yield and the use of gentle processing techniques, with a long aging on the fine lees result in this Platt & Riegl Pinot Bianco 2017 – delicate and elegant, with great character at the same time.
